Breathing Life Into A Google Blogger Hosted Blog
The blog I started in ’09 sat there half-dead for more than a year and a half. With the excitement of doing bigger and better writing using the new WordPress 3.0, along with maintaining a blog on WordPress.com, Google’s Blogger platform took a back seat. Trying to help a fellow blogger resolve an issue with installing the Intense Debate commenting platform alongside CommentLuv [aff] in Blogger caused Healthy, Happy, Wise and Fit to be resurrected.
This Blog’s Mission …
Creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the goal of millions. In essence, the mission of Healthy, Happy, Wise and Fit is to point up changes in lifestyle that will move me and you towards that goal. It will eventually include videos, audios, articles, recommended books, some How-To guides, and news about fitness, wellness, exercise, recipes for eating right, and lifestyle changes.
Remember I said it has been resurrected?
The first activity of exhumation was to dust off the comment section and bring some life to it using the Intense Debate commenting system. It took a couple of tries to get it working, but it’s in there! Then, to make sure it remains in the land of the living, I added the CommentLuv plugin for Blogger, which I use on all my self-hosted WordPress blogs.
It’s alive! It’s alive!
Finally, to prove it had life breathed into more than just the backend, I did that thing that bloggers do: I wrote a new post! More To Health and Fitness Than Just Food features words of wisdom from five of the top bloggers in their respective fields, covering topics like emotional, physical, and even business health. One really useful resource I learned about as a result of this post is the Hive Health Media network of blogs (@hivehealthmedia on Twitter), which I plan to join.
Stop by see what new life in a Blogger blog looks like. 🙂 While you’re there, leave a comment (you can even use your WordPress.com ID), then show some love for those five wise ladies who help bring life back to an almost defunct blog.
